Private Lessons
Private lessons can be started at any time of the year for students of any age, as early as 3 years old. Many young beginners start with our 10-week Pre-Twinkle intro course, offered twice a year.

Some benefits of private lessons at KSMA
-
Creative Ability Development
Many students opt to learn CAD in our weekly improv classes and many others also learn through one-on-one private lessons. Our Pre-Twinkle Program is also based on CAD using Alice Kanack’s Playing From the Heart.

Suzuki Method and Repertoire
The Suzuki Philosophy is deeply embedded in our work here at KSMA. Creative Ability Development and the Suzuki Method are so closely related here that the two methods go hand in hand.

Music Hour
Students who wish to practice performing can take advantage of our bi-weekly Music Hour program, with accompaniment services available at no cost. Talk to your teacher to sign up.

Studio Recitals
All students perform twice every year in studio recitals. Performance is an integral part of learning an instrument and we train our students to stand up with confidence in front of an audience.

Weekly Classes
All our regularly scheduled weekly classes are included with private lesson tuition. This is to encourage our students to learn, play, and develop musical friendships as much as possible! We are very proud of the community atmosphere fostered by our weekly class program.

Folk Music
Students who prefer an alternative approach to their instrument will feel right at home with our folk music teachers. Or they can get the best of both worlds at fiddle class every week!
